Ledum palustre
Like hypericum, ledum palustre has reputed anti-tetanus properties. It is used to treat puncture wounds (eg those caused by nails) and bites from both animals and insects. The pains are sticking, tearing and throbbing. Area is swollen. Blue and cold but, strangely, feels hot to the sufferer.
General symptoms.
Cold and chilly yet does not want warmth and heat.
Rheumatic or gouty pains travel up the body.
Worse with motion of the affected parts.
Puncture wounds and stings.
Long lasting discoloration - bruises which turn black then green and hang around.
