Belladonna

Belladonna is a remedy used for inflammation and fever. During high fevers, the pupils may be dilated and have a glazed over appearance. In severe cases, delirium, anger and oversensitivity.  Local inflammations may appear very red and hot. The symptoms come on very suddenly and intensely, often after exposure to a cold draft or wind. It is commonly used to treat children's fevers associated with teething or earaches.

General symptoms.

Worse for becoming cold, drafts.
Heat with redness, burning and throbbing sensations.
Oversensitivity, the senses become very acute.
Dryness of the mucous membranes with burning, swelling and redness.
They may crave sour things like lemons or lemonade.
Burning hot to touch.
Symptoms seem worse around 2-3pm.

Mental symptoms.

Delerium.
Anger.
Fear.

Modalities.

< drafts, light, noise, touch, jarring, overheating
> light covering, bed rest and dark rooms.

Headaches.
Sunstroke.
Fever.
Teething and earache.
