Medicinal Uses: Passiflora is a calming herb with a history of use in the treatment of insomnia (often combined with Valerian), stress and anxiety, neuralgia, and nervous restlessness. In Central and South America the fresh or dried leaves are used to make an infusion, a tea that is used to treat insomnia, hysteria and epilepsy, and it is also valued for its painkilling properties.



Cautions: Excessive use of Passiflora may cause sedation. Excessive use should be avoided during pregnancy or lactation.
